Months and years are calendar arithmetic, not fixed durations: 31 January plus one month is 28 February, and 29 February plus one year is 28 February. Days and weeks keep the wall-clock time across a daylight-saving change rather than drifting by an hour.

How it works

1Paste a timestamp or a date, or leave it empty to work from now.
2A bare number is read by length — ten digits is seconds, thirteen is milliseconds — or you can say which you meant.
3Add or subtract, or take the difference between two instants.
4Months and years use real calendar arithmetic: 31 January plus one month is 28 February, not 3 March.
